Lit by flaming torches, the magical sound of 50 women drummers gave birth to the sensational phenomenon known as SheBoom.

As popular folklore goes, the artist Jane Sutherland and the musician Erin Claire Scrutton began planning for a multimedia event for Glasgay! in 1993.

Funded by Glasgow City Council, it was to be a special festival celebrating diversity. The big idea was for a gigantic drumming spectacle on a bridge over the River Clyde. Hours of sweat, tears and finally ...

It happened. The magic began...
and has lasted for 18+ years
